My husband was brought up fishing with his father for most of his life. He always talks about how one day we will own a sail boat. He even told me that sail boats are much cheaper then buying a house and we can move from port to port. A lot like Desmond and Penny from Lost. He knows I love Desmond. So where am I getting with this? For Nicks birthday a friend offered to have her father takes us out on a sail boat in Newport Harbor. I said yes of course and I asked her how to repay her dad and she said the captain accepts snackies, hugs and rum. We brought him rum of course.

It was a beautiful day and Nick was beaming the whole time.

On the look out for whales.03Beaming!

04

We spotted two Gray whales that were at least the size of our boat, 34 ft.

The captain let us steer the ship. I kept steering crooked because I can barley see over the hatch. Oh being short.

Thanks to Jessica and Paul Boctor and Jessica’s parents, the captain and the wench, for the awesome sea adventure.

My husband, Nicholas A. Love, was recently interviewed for our church‘s magazine and they wanted pictures, so here they are. I would also like to state that my husband is one of the wisest men I have ever known and he’s super passionate about the poor. I love this fool.

When he popped out from behind the door I laughed so hard. I was not expecting this at all. Thank you my love!
