Erica Batchelder is a creative mastermind. She creates exquisite hair and clothing accessories. She dies her own pieces, sews her own fabric and she tweaks them until they are just right. What I love most about her is that some of her creations have vintages jewels. I have four of her head bands that I wear at least once a week.
She recently contacted me about photographing her beautiful work. Of course I said yes and here’s why:
1. She lives in Laguna Niguel and I love getting out of town.
2. I love her stuff and I think the world needs to see this talent.
3. Erica is a wonderful woman.
Here are a few images from our session
Elegant Hair Accessories
These last two are the pieces that I came home with. I love them and they spice up any outfit. I also came home with bangles and a broach.
A special shout out to my awesome model and good friend Missy. She did a fabulous job.

Thank you Erica for this great opportunity.
I first met Lauren in her parent’s home in Riverside. As I was sitting across the kitchen table from her listening to the vision she had for her wedding, my heart started to jump. She had a vision for a whimsical backyard wedding. She just had to mention strings of lights going from full trees and I was in. There were jewels, lights and beer barrel rims hanging from trees. It was amazing and all put together by her family.
The thing that stood out the most for me with this wedding was the overwhelming amount of love. Her family from one of the Dakota’s came out for the wedding and spent the day before and the early part of the day of the wedding setting up chairs, decorations and arranging flowers. It was amazing. By the way that the family talked to each other and laughed you just knew that there was genuine love there. It was great.
One more thing: Lauren and Jon Michael were so easy going and were so much in love that it made my job easy. So enjoy.
Jon Michael’s mother said something about “grand babies” in her toast and for the rest of the night people were saying “to grand babies!”
Jon Michael is a music producer and he wrote a song just for his bride.
Thank you again to the happy couple! I had a great time!
